Described by the Chicago Tribune as “perhaps the most elegant, refined and beautifully expressive violinist on the planet,” Viktoria Mullova rose to international prominence after winning the International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition in 1980 and the Gold Medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1982. She has since established herself as one of the most acclaimed violinists of her time.

An iconic artist, she performs with the world’s leading orchestras and conductors, and is widely recognised for her uncompromising artistic integrity. Her repertoire spans from Bach to contemporary commissions, encompassing period-instrument baroque, Romantism, as well as ventures into jazz, world music and original cross-genre projects such as The Peasant Girl, Stradivarius in Rio and Das Verklärte Nacht.

Highlights of her 2026–27 season feature an extensive international focus on Beethoven in both recital and orchestral performances. Commemorating the 200th anniversary of the composer’s death, she continues her collaboration with pianist Alasdair Beatson, performing Beethoven’s complete violin sonatas. Their global tour spans major European venues—including London’s Wigmore Hall and Dijon Opera House —alongside an extended series of dates across Japan and China. This tour coincides with the release of their complete Beethoven Cycle on period instruments by Signum Records in October 2026.

Viktoria’s extensive discography has garnered widespread critical acclaim, featuring works ranging from Bach & Vivaldi through core classical & romantic repertoire, to the complete works of Arvo Pärt with Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and Paavo Järvi. Her recordings of the Vivaldi Concertos with Il Giardino Armonico and directed by Giovanni Antonini, Bach Sonatas with Ottavio Dantone & Beethoven’s Archduke Trio with André Previn and Heinrich Schiff have all received prestigious Diapason D’Or awards.

Winner of First Prize at the 2014 Long-Thibaud-Crespin Competition, Aylen Pritchin is seen as “one of the princes of the bow” (Classica), with a “technique worthy of Menuhin” (ClassiqueHD).

A regular guest at major international concert halls and festivals – including the Concertgebouw, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Philharmonie de Paris, Wigmore Hall, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Mozarteum Salzburg, Aldeburgh Festival and MozartFest Würzburg – he has appeared as a soloist with the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestre de chambre de Paris, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Taiwan Philharmonic, New Japan Philharmonic and Il Pomo d’Oro, working with conductors including Maxim Emelyanychev, Jun Märkl, Teodor Currentzis, Kirill Karabits, Pascal Rophé, Yoel Levi, Christian Vásquez, Mihhail Gerts and Christian Arming.

A sought-after chamber musician, he regularly shares the stage with artists including Maxim Emelyanychev, Lukas Geniusas, Vilde Frang, Nicolas Altstaedt, Lawrence Power, Martin Helmchen and Olli Mustonen.

Highlights of the 2026/27 season include his debuts with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dmitry Matvienko (Vasks), and the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra and Kasmir Uusitupa (Hartmann).
In chamber music, he is set to appear at Tonhalle Düsseldorf with Alena Baeva, Lawrence Power, Julian Steckel, Maxim Emelyanychev and Fleur Baron. He also reunites with Lukas Geniusas at the Festival de l’Orangerie de Sceaux, Maxim Emelyanychev at the Salle Poirel in Nancy, and Lawrence Power at the Klosters Music Violin Summit, where they will also perform with Vilde Frang.

His critically acclaimed discography includes a solo violin recital (Ad Vitam, 2019), Brahms’s Sonatas for Violin and Piano with Maxim Emelyanychev on period instruments (Aparté, 2021), and Debussy-Hahn-Stravinsky with Lukas Geniusas (Mirare, 2022), praised by the New York Times and awarded a Choc by Classica and the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik. In 2025, his recording of Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 with Il Pomo d’Oro and Maxim Emelyanychev has been named Editor’s Choice of the Month by Gramophone.
